We look around and find that just right pan, the spoon
that stirs the way we like it to. The almost empty spice
bottle that takes it up a notch. Set the temp down a little
there is no hurry and it smells just like the memories
we have of the meals from the big peoples table.
It matters not how many there are sitting at the table
nor the amount of portions on our plates. Its time to
pause and give thanks for the way we have survived the
trials and test, of time that these days have served us.
Thanking God for hearing the prayers that we don't say
out loud. For the times with the ones that just know when
it's been too much. Some are within reach and some are
memories but the love is real and this time too will pass,
to be put away by choice.
I ask today for the Peace of God through Jesus Christ
his Son
and the comfort of His Holy Spirit to bring forth the
warm embrace of family
memories and the promise to be with Him in Glory one sweet
day.
Have a good day of thanksgiving.
