U.S. Supreme Court ruling upholds Partial-Birth Abortion Ban ActBrothers and Sisters, For the past several days, since the Supreme Court decided, by a one-vote majority, to do the right thing and uphold the Partial Birth Abortion Act, I have been trying to get into a celebration mood, but it just isn’t happening. While I am very happy for the decision, I cannot be ecstatic due to the overwhelming sorrow I feel that it took 12 long years while this barbaric procedure was being performed day after day on untold numbers of innocent babies. The fact that there was ever a question as to whether Partial Birth Abortion should be allowed speaks volumes regarding our societal condition.
Furthermore, the decision does nothing to stop the daily slaughter of 4,000 +/- womb children by all the other methods of abortion. Again, why is there even a question as to why abortion is wrong? The answer is really very simple. There is no question. Everyone, including the so-called pro-choicers, knows that abortion is wrong and that it is murder. The love of money and/or the love of self are the motivations driving participation, of practitioners and clients, in the abortion industry. The denial of the humanity of the unborn child is merely a game, a smoke screen, elevating the rights of the already-born above the rights of the pre-born. Added to the mix are those whose hidden agenda is pre-meditated genocide for the purpose of world environmental resource protection via population control. The real question and one that baffles me day in and day out is: why are those of us who freely acknowledge that abortion is murder unable to band together with the power of sheer numbers and hammer the political machinery where it hurts? The pro-death squads have no problem at all mobilizing in full force, with their activities underwritten by our tax money! The comparison between abortion and the Holocaust has been made for 34 years now, and yet after 45,000,000 abortions in the USA, we continue to go through our daily routines as if all is right with the world. Speaking of the world, what took the USA to accomplish in 34 years, occurs annually, at a rate of 126,000/day! 45,000,000 per year. Can you imagine the cacophony of screams if only these tiny victims had the ability to voice their anguish? Do the bodies need to be piled in the streets of our neighborhoods before the people do more than pay lip service to “pro-life”? Warning: Graphic material ahead.

Update on Senate Bill 5 (S. 5)Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act S. 5, which will allow the use of our federal tax dollars to fund embryonic stem cell research, passed by a narrow margin. If you are still unfamiliar with why embryonic stem cell research is not a good idea, please visit Cloning/Stem Cell Research and http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewPolitics.asp?Page=/Politics/archive/200704/POL20070411a.html. President Bush will undoubtedly veto this Bill, but the fight won’t end there. There will be an attempt by the liberal Congress to override the veto and the vote will be extremely close. According to Jay Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice, the deciding vote in the Senate rests upon PA. Senator Bob Casey. Please take a moment, right now, to contact Senator Casey via his web site at http://casey.senate.gov/contact.cfm
So many issues, so little timeBrothers and Sisters, If you have not yet done so, please see the details of the Christian Soldiers mission . Our main focus is evangelistic outreach, creating a sense of urgency about the duty of Christians to share our faith with the yet-to-be-saved. I understand that it is not always easy to witness to people, but, just as thousands of little lives, each and every day, are lost through abortion, so too are thousands of souls being lost, each and every day, to eternal damnation. No one knows what tomorrow, or even the next moment will bring, as has been evidenced just recently in the tragic and incomprehensible shootings at Virginia Tech. One can’t help but wonder how many of the young men and women who were slain had not yet accepted the Gift of Salvation. Perhaps there was someone getting ready to witness to them, but was waiting for “just the right moment”.
The second priority of Christian Soldiers is to gather together and disseminate information concerning social and political issues that impact directly upon the Christian community, particularly since liberals now outweigh conservatives in Congress. If you would care to help out with research, especially on time-sensitive issues, feel free to Contact Us.
